At the very basic, I’m a person trying my best to be a good human, but as Ghalib – famous Urdu poet noted, ‘bus ke dushwaar hai, har kaam ka aasan hona, aadmi ko bhi mayyasar nahi insaan hona’ (its difficult for everything to be easy, even man does not get to achieve being humane) I want to live life as it comes to me and shed the “acceptability” cloak that I’m forced to don. I enjoy my family and am a student of architecture, which basically implies that I am a freak who can appear sophisticated by choice. Sarcasm is second, oh no, part of my nature. I also spend endless hours talking to plans and models and myself, terribly addicted to music and tea. Love going for solitary long drives and am generally considered the tea shop aka chai-wali by my friends and fellows. Love to read but don’t get enough time for literature, and nothing pleases me more than performing. Love travelling.
Because you are a student of architecture, I wondered if you had seen three books about historical architecture by Georges Duby about French cathedrals, 980 – 1400. He admirably weaves the history, religion and the buildings into the society of Northern France.
Hey! You haven’t posted anything in a while, have you? I’m trying to look for more recent posts.
Actually I have been really bad with this. Look at me responding after a year! I shall be resuming soon though. Thanks for following! Hope you enjoy your time here 🙂
I don’t blame you. Work just seems to pile on!! I’ll be sure to check again 🙂
Voow … wat a thoughtful piece of writing … by somebody who knows how to live … other than maybe …solitary long drives!!!! … some one deserves to share the wonderful soul ….
